Citizens of a wide range of countries can apply entirely online, while citizens and legal residents of the GCC countries are exempt. Who is eligible for the Saudi Arabia e-Visa?

Nationals of countries that are not eligible for the online e-Visa must apply at a Saudi embassy or consulate. You may also become eligible to apply online if you hold a valid US, UK or Schengen visa, a permanent residence permit, or a GCC residence permit. Muslim travellers may visit Mecca during Umrah, while non-Muslim visitors can visit the city of Madinah.

To complete your application you need:

• a valid passport with at least six months' validity from your date of entry,
• an active e-mail address where your approved e-Visa will be sent,
• a personal photograph.
